Ukrainian troops can again send drone feeds and logistics orders at the rates their units used before late October. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on 24 October that the limits on the Starlink and Starshield satellite systems had been lifted by that morning.

Zelenskyy said the networks were running at the speeds they had reached before the restrictions began. "Now we have the speed we need," he said in a video address, thanking those who worked to bring communications back.

He said speeds began to recover overnight and were at military-relevant levels by morning. He tied the recovery to frontline logistics and to countering jet-powered Shahed drones.

Before Zelenskyy spoke, Ukrainian defence personnel and Ministry of Defence specialists measured both systems above 161 km/h. The ministry later confirmed stable connections above 400 km/h.

The restoration follows several days of disruption. Zelenskyy had previously reported that the systems ran at 130 to 161 km/h in parts of the line of contact, which he said held back logistics and limited drone use. On 16 October, US President Donald Trump said the White House had not taken part in limiting Ukraine's use of the systems. The Telegraph reported separately that SpaceX CEO Elon Musk had raised the idea of cutting bandwidth on the networks used by Ukrainian forces with Trump.
