Former Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bomma has criticized the current government, stating, “Since day one, this government has failed in maintaining law and order. Anti-national elements are receiving significant support from leaders of the ruling party, leading to a decline in police morale.
Widespread corruption in police transfers has resulted in inefficient individuals occupying crucial positions. Consequently, various anti-social elements are now freely operating in the city, emboldened to carry out bomb attacks in Bengaluru. This indicates connections to terrorist elements, with sleeper cells potentially active in Bengaluru. During our tenure, we identified and apprehended 15 such sleeper cells. The appeasement politics pursued by this government has exacerbated these issues. The case should be handed over to the NIA, and if this isn’t done, this government should resign.
